Welcome To Little Rascals Day Nursery

Choosing the right nursery for your child is one of the most important and difficult decisions that you will ever have to make. We hope that the information on our website will give you an insight into what makes us different from other childcare providers, but nothing can substitute for a visit to the nursery to see for yourself.
Little rascals is a small family run day care nursery opened in May 2007, owned and run by a Mother and daughter, carol and Mandy. It is a 20 place nursery consisting of two main rooms where the age groups 1-5 are divided.
At little rascals, our mission is to create a home from home, where your little rascals can grow and develop into confident, independent little people. We believe in quality over quantity - by keeping our nursery places at 20 - we can insure your child will have enough space to grow, vast opportunities to play and close interaction with our caring staff throughout the time they spend with us.
Our Little Rascal aims:
- To provide a fun, happy, safe environment for all children.
- To acknowledge what is special and unique about each individual child.
- To recognise and respect the culture, family background and faith of all children.
- To create a co-operative partnership with parents that supports and enhances the development of your child.
- To create a sensible balance between flexible and structured routines, in which each child can grow and flourish.
- To provide a curriculum that places emphasis on your child's individual development needs.
- To encourage children’s natural learning.
- To provide, encourage and promote equal opportunities for learning and development
Ofsted
Little Rascals is registered with the governing body, Ofsted, who came out to see us for our first inspection on the 21st July 2008. Ofsted stayed at the nursery for 2 days and observed our practice through out our routines. We received an outcome of GOOD, this means a strong nursery with little to improve on.
The staff at little rascals strive to make the care the very best possible and so we are always trying to improve our practice to reach our overall goal of excellence.
