The safety of your little one(s) are of the utmost importance to us at Little Rascals. To ensure their safety whilst in the nursery, both the main entrance and side doors have restricted access. We also are keen on keeping up to date with modern security and we have introduced a fingerprint recognition panel on both of our entrance doors. This technology only allows entrance to the nursery to those that have registered their fingerprints on the system. This will only be accessible by staff who work within the nursery and because of the software used, this device will not allow unrecognised fingerprints to enter the premises. Once inside the front door, there is a second door in place which can only be opened using a pin-code, which only the staff know. A camera intercom is installed so staff can speak to any visitors before they are allowed access to the nursery. The side entrance door is also opened by fingerprint recognition system. A CCTV camera looking out onto the porch way is in place, with a connected TV screen indoors so staff are aware who is outside. This area outside is also connected to a recording TV. There is an intercom both outside and inside the nursery so the staff can converse with visitors before they allow them to enter the nursery. To keep the children away from the front door, a second, smaller gate has been installed which can only be opened by staff. Before unexpected visitors are allowed access to the nursery, they must first identify themselves and the relevant badges shown through the intercom. We have installed CCTV cameras in every room, and these are recording 24hrs a day, the TV screen is in the office. To keep your little one(s) safe during outdoor play, Little Rascals have their own personalised Hi-Vis Jackets that each child wears. These fluorescent yellow jackets, have the Little Rascals logo and number printed onto the back. Wrist and body reins are used for children who are able to walk alongside the staff, our friendly caterpillar walker is used for the pre-school children, where they are each attached to a hoop for safety. Children that are unable to walk are safely secured in pushchairs and pushed by the staff.
